A closer look at the KoolicaneTM
The KoolicaneTM is a body cooling device which targets the forehead for optimal heat exchange and is easy to use. It is clinically proven to attenuate an increase in body temperature by 3 PhD Biologists (Journal of Exercise Physiology online, 2009).
In essence, the KoolicaneTM is a cooling head band. There are two main parts, the Heat Dissipater and the head piece. At 3 pounds, the KoolicaneTM max is lighter than the leading competitor but the cooling effects last up to five times as long (per Thermal Exchange Matrix). By simply replacing the battery and Thermal Exchange Matrix when they run out (usually at 6 hours for the batteries and 13 for the TEM), the KoolicaneTM’s cooling power lasts indefinitely.
The KoolicaneTM can increase athletic performance. Studies indicate that using the KoolicaneTM during exercise allow the individual to recover quicker from exercise and exercise longer before becoming fatigued. In addition, less fatigue is reported as less total metabolic energy is expended per exercise session to regulate body temperature.
